Cirebon (ANTARA News)
- An Indonesian female worker identified as Pifi binti Jendi (16) from Indramayu district, West Java, was reported to have died after falling from the fourth floor of her employer`s house in Jordan.

Jendi, the victim`s father who is living in Mundak Jaya village, Indramayu district, on Thursday said that his daughter who had left home to work in Jordan seven months ago was reported to have passed away on Monday (Aug 4).

The dead body was still kept in the morgue of a local hospital in Jordan.

"We received the report on Pifi`s death a few days ago from an agent of PT Bina Hasan Sejahtera, the manpower recruitment company which sent our daughter to Jordan," he said.

Jendi hoped that the government and the manpower recruitment company would be responsible for the return of Pifi`s body to Indramayu.

However, Jendi still doubted the cause of his daughter`s death, because until now there was no written statement from the hospital or authorities in Jordan explaining the cause of Pifi`s death.

In addition, PT. Bina Hassan Sejahtera had failed to tell Jendi the name, address and telephone number of hir daughter`s employer in Jordan, so that it was difficult for him to check the truth of the information, he said.

According to Jendi, three days before receiving the news about Pifi`s death, his daughter had contacted him saying she was in good health. "But then on August 4 the management of PT Bina Hasan Sejahtera told us about her death," he said.

In the meantime, Hendra Pondaga, an official of the manpower supervision of the social and manpower representative office in Indramayu, said his office was not aware of the death of an Indonesian worker identified as Pifi in Jordan.
