ERIC Teh of Subang Jaya is upset with Agency Pekerjaan Tenaga Era Network Sdn Bhd. They have not refunded him despite not providing him with a maid.
"I engaged the agency in January and they provided me with a maid. But after two days, the maid didn't want to work for a Chinese family because she's an Indonesian Muslim," he says.
The agency promised him a replacement but after one month, it was a no-show. Not wanting to wait any longer, Eric asked for the RM5,000 deposit to be refunded but was told deductions would be made for administrative charges.
On April 12, the agency informed him he was entitled to only 50 per cent refund.
● THE agency manager says, according to the agreement, Eric is not entitled to any refund.
"We will stick with the agreement," adds the manager.
