SHAH ALAM: The police will get a full statement from Mohd Yusof Abdul, 66, concerning his suspicion that his former Indonesian maid was behind the robbery that saw his wife Raja Noriana Raja Ahmad killed at their home in Section 13 on September 9.
Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said the businessman’s statement is crucial in assisting police investigations.
The police have not taken Mohd Yusof’s statement as he has not returned to Shah Alam since the incident, he said.
Khalid said this when met at an event here, where Selangor Wanita Umno handed over its Hari Raya contribution to uniformed bodies.
In the early morning botched robbery incident, Raja Noriana, 41, was killed by two robbers who held her hostage for three hours. The two were shot dead by police snipers.
She was found in her bedroom with severe cuts and stabs wounds on her neck, shoulder and stomach and died an hour later at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre.
On a separate matter, Khalid reminded those who are going back to their hometowns for Hari Raya to inform the nearest police station so that their houses can be monitored to help prevent break-ins.
